Dhobi ghat a film is on Salman khan
In Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Dhobi Ghat, you’ll see a character that imitates Salman Khan.
When the song “Pappu Can’t Dance Saala” from Aamir Khan’s home production Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na became the rage, it was believed that the song about a rich, bratty bachelor was based on Salman, though Aamir denied it.
Now, in Dhobi Ghat, coming later in January, Prateik Babbar plays a Salman fan who always wears a similar feroza bracelet that Sallu wears, has the star’s posters in his room, and is obsessed about body building. And here’s the dig: the character is a dhobi who wants to be an actor.
We hear that Aamir himself suggested to his wife Kiran Rao - making her directorial debut - to model Prateik’s character on Salman.
However, what remains to be seen is whether the film pokes fun at Salman through this character. Or does it portray the superstar in good light?
We’ll know when the film releases on Jan 21.
