Kites Film Dropped in the Box Office

Masses were waiting for this Hrithik Roshan starrer for quite long. But the movie couldnt live up to the humungous expectations and as a result the collections of Kites showed a big drop on Monday in India.

As per reports, the film, starring Hrithik with Barbara Mori, has been rejected by the public. Now the movies four-day collections are around Rs 33 crore approx, which also includes paid previews on Thursday. However, the dip in collections wasnt expected as Kites made a bumper start with a business of whopping Rs 30 crore in its first weekend. Alas! It seems that the movie has to struggle and keep drawing audiences to theatres during weekdays to become a hit.

Kites also stands a little chance to recover the huge amount of Rs 120 crore that worldwide distributors have invested in the film. It would be tough for the movie to touch the Rs 40 crore mark in its first week.

On the other hand, movies Badmaash Company and Housefull are doing well at the BO. If Badmaash Company has collections of around Rs 28.50 crore approx after two weeks, Housefull collected Rs 68 crore from its three-week collection. Good going!
